Tasting notes: Nose of ripe and slightly stewed red fruit, blueberry coulis, crumpled fig leaf and spices. Broad on entry with fresh, velvety tannins on the palate. Full-bodied juice with a touch of cedar. Lingering complex finish with notes of sweet spice.
About the winery:
Michel is a seventh-generation Chapoutier winemaker at Tain-L'Hermitage, having acquired the family estate in 1990. Michel earned a reputation for producing wines that are highly representative of where they are grown, true "snapshots of the terroir".
