Tasting notes: Scents of honey-drizzled apricots, baking bread, salted almonds and orange blossoms with wafts of butterscotch and ginger. Medium-bodied with a gorgeous creamy texture and tons of stone fruit and nutty/bready savory layers, it has a lively acid line and great length.
About the winery: Mount Mary Vineyard is a family-owned estate located in Yarra Valley, Australia. Founded in 1971, it was one of the first vineyards planted in the area. The Middletons were inspired by the wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy and sought a site to establish a vineyard entirely planted with French grape varieties. They found it in Mount Mary, a north-facing slope with ideal soil. The estate now has 30 acres under vine.
