Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: "The 2020 Marsannay Les Crais wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries and sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and nicely concentrated, with ripe, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chalky finish, this is promising." - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
About the winery:
Domaine Felettig is one of the names that Burgundy connoisseurs would rather keep to themselves. Gilbert and his sister Christine form the second generation of winegrowers on the estate, after having succeeded from their father and founder of the Domaine, Henri Felettig. Pauline, Gilbert's daughter, has recently joined them. With a history of only 40 years, the Domaine has seen many changes from its very beginning and has expanded rapidly to reach a size of 12.5 hectares, whose 60% rented. Production is small, quality is high, as is the demand, which is why the family's wines are rarely seen outside France.
