Domaine JEAN FOURNIER Marsannay "Les Longeroies" 2020 (Red)

Wine Region: Burgundy - France

Grape: Pinot Noir

Tasting notes: "From holdings planted at between 13,000 and 20,000 vines per hectare, Fournier's 2020 Marsannay Les Longeroies Blanc bursts with aromas of sweet orchard fruit, apricot, nutmeg, white flowers and peach. Medium to full-bodied, with a charming and open core of fruit girdled by racy acids, it concludes with a long, chalky finish." - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

About the winery:
Domaine Jean Fournier is seen as one of the best producers of Marsannay, and winemaker Laurent Fournier is certainly at the forefront of elevating Marsannay as a wine and as a community. The Fournier name is one of the oldest in the historical records in the village of Marsannay-la-Cote, first appearing in the 17th century. Fournier's current holdings cover 17 hectares of vines, with many ranging between 20 and 70 years old and covering the most lauded sites of the AOP.
