About the winery:
The domaine Armand Rousseau is located in Gevrey
Chambertin, Burgundy. The creation of the Domaine dates back to the beginning
of the 20th century; Armand Rousseau created it when he decided to start a
direct wine selling channel in the 1920s. This Armand Rousseau estate covers
more than 15 hectares, including 8.5 hectares of Grands Crus and 3.8 hectares
of Premiers Crus produced according to the sustainable agriculture principles.
The vines grow on limestone and clay-limestone soils.
Armand Rousseau produced six emblematic Grands Crus of
Burgundy: Chambertin, Charmes Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Beze, Ruchottes
Chambertin, Mazy Chambertin, and Clos de la Roche. Armand Rousseau’s wines are
concentrated and elegant. They are aged in barrels for more than 20 months,
with 2 rackings. Their ageing potential of the Grands Crus is more than 20
years, and more than 15 years for the Premiers Crus.
