Tasting notes: "This blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc possesses a dark ruby/purple color as well as abundant aromas of sweet kirsch, cassis, licorice and plums. Full-bodied and impressively endowed, it is another successful wine in a tough vintage. It should hit its peak in 3-4 years and last 15 or more thereafter." - Robert M. Parker, Jr., Wine Advocate
About the winery: Created in 1920 by the grandparents, it was in 1978 that the famous oenologist Michel Rolland and his brother took over from their father at the head of Chateau Bon Pasteur. The 6.6 ha of Pomerol extend over 23 plots of typical terroir and offer a model vineyard and high-performance vintages.
