Tasting notes: Dense in colour with violet reflections, this wine develops a floral bouquet (violets), wild berries, cedar, dark spices and sandalwood. In the mouth, it is suave, fresh and splendidly balanced. The length is incredible, gentle and voluptuous, with a delicious finish.
About the winery: With 22 hectares of vines Chateau La Pointe, famous for its beautiful grounds, is one of the largest vineyards in Pomerol. The estate made a name for itself as a producer of exceptional wines during the 19th century, and in 2008, underwent renovations with the intention of the estate reaching the full potential of its terroir. The vineyards were restructured favouring Merlot and Cabernet Franc and the cellars were refurbished to accommodate parcel by parcel vinification ensuring maximum terroir expression.
