Tasting notes: The inky purple-tinted red colour gives way to a good aromatic expression of red berries with seducing fragrances. The attack is pleasant on the acidity that almost seems nervous. The mid-palate offers strong wine, with a dominant of fruits that are filled with smooth and very elegant tannins.
About the Winery: Chateau Lespaut-Martillac is one of the oldest estates of Pessac-Leognan, with viticulture on the estate dating to the Roman era. It is perched on a beautiful gravel crest overlooking the village of Martillac. Chateau Lespaut-Martillac vineyards and winemaking reflect the originality of a Pomerol type blend with the characteristic Pomerol elegance. Since 2009, the owners have entrusted Oliver Bernard and his team from Domaine de Chevalier to the management of the estate.
