THE STORY: Jean-Pierre Rollet is heir to a long tradition of viticulture since the Chateau Vieux Guinot, Saint Emilion Grand Cru, is in his family for 1729. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the property has grown two castles : Roc-Saint-Michel Gaillard de la Gorce, also Grands Crus. Finally, in 1957, Jean-Pierre Rollet buys the castle Fourney, always in Saint Emilion Grand Cru. It thus carries its surface area in this appellation 44 hectares composed of a mosaic of soils ranging from clay-limestone sand and gravel. Current plantings include 70% Merlot, 14% of cabernet franc et 16% of cabernet sauvignon.
