Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: "From a tiny parcel surrounded by the holdings of Mugnier, de Vogüé, Drouhin and Mortet, Roblot produced one barrel of his 2019 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru. Offering up aromas of sweet berry fruit, orange rind, cloves, raw cocoa and rose petals, it's full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a rich and concentrated core of fruit and a lively, mineral finish. It's a very promising cuvée from this emerging domaine." - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
About the winery:
Benjamin's history is like a conquest of his own inheritance. He first started his career in the aviation industry as a designer but never forgot his grandfather's legacy. From 2016, and after studying agriculture and oenology, little by little, Benjamin progressively retrieved plots from his grandfather's vineyard, one lease after another. Patient and determined, Benjamin works now on several plots Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru, Bonnes-Mares and Echezeaux. He manages his vines very meticulously, and his winemaking varies according to the vintages, making outstanding wines.
