Wine Region: Burgundy - France

Grape: Pinot Noir

Tasting notes: "Aromas of sweet red berries, rose petals, orange rind and spices preface Roblot's 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers, a medium to full-bodied, elegantly fleshy wine with a velvety attack, fine depth at the core and some chalky back-end asperity that I suspect will be alleviated by a racking. This saw 20% new oak and will spend 18 months in barrel." - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

About the winery:

Benjamin's history is like a conquest of his own inheritance. He first started his career in the aviation industry as a designer but never forgot his grandfather's legacy. From 2016, and after studying agriculture and oenology, little by little, Benjamin progressively retrieved plots from his grandfather's vineyard, one lease after another. Patient and determined, Benjamin works now on several plots Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru, Bonnes-Mares and Echezeaux. He manages his vines very meticulously, and his winemaking varies according to the vintages, making outstanding wines.
