Domaine BENOIT CHEVALLIER Bourgogne "En Luteniere" 2019
Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: This wine is showing superbly, bursting with aromas of cherries, wild berries, subtle soil tones and savoury nuance. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's satiny-textured and beautifully lively, framed by powdery tannins and bright acids.
About the winery: Maurice Chevallier took over 4 hectares of the family vineyards in 1971 and started his own Domaine. Eloise and Benoit, two of his children, have been working a small portion of the vines since 2009. They work using traditional methods. During harvest, they sort in the vineyard, all the pressing is done manually, ageing in oak barrels for about 20 months with a reasonable amount of new barrels used. The objective of the Domaine is to produce wines with a true expression of the fruit, specific to the personality of each climate and dimension attributed from different vintages.
