Domaine DENIS MORTET Gevrey-Chambertin "Mes Cinq Terroirs" 2015
Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: These five vine plots are situated on the northern slope of Gevrey-Chambertin called the "Coteau de Brochon". Thanks to the small, concentrated berries produced by these plots of old vines, we find here all the richness and fruitiness of a Gevrey-Chambertin, its velvety smooth tannins, its superb freshness and its length on the palate.
About the winery: The Domaine Denis Mortet is located in Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy. Its creation dates back to 1956 and Charles Mortet's decision to produce wine and sell it to the trade from his hectare of vines. Little by little, the estate began to market its own wines. Denis Mortet and his wife Laurence began working at the estate in 1978. At the time, the estate only had 4.5 hectares of vines located in Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot. Denis Mortet increases this wine heritage. In 2000, his son Arnaud joined the estate and took over the management in 2005.
