Tasting notes: "The 2013 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, from a single parcel on the Chambolle side, has a rather opaque bouquet at the moment: broody dark berry fruit interlaced with iodine and violets. The palate is medium-bodied with touches of mocha and dark chocolate on the entry. Here, the oak comes through quite strongly, and tends to obscure the terroir on the finish." - Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate
About the winery:
Since 1885, the Boillot Family leads a vineyard masterfully on the finest appellations of the Cote de Beaune. Today Henri Boillot is the one leading this 19 hectares estate. The leading current wine critics recognize his hard and meticulous work. Seven hectares of Chardonnay on the Meursault, Corton-Charlemagne and Puligny-Montrachet AOCs provide flattering white wines in their youth yet with great maturing ability.
