Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Chardonnay
Tasting notes: Beautiful marriage between the fat of the wine and the mineral tension. Round, precise and greedy.
About the winery:
Established in the 1950s by Lucien Ponsot, this estate has been in the hands of his grandson Jean-Baptiste since 2000. With a number of vineyards in the Rully appellation of Cote Chalonnaise in Burgundy, Jean-Baptiste grows Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with production of white wine accounting for around two thirds of their output. The estate's best known wines are Premier Cru, coming from its acclaimed Molesme vineyard.
