About the winery: The domaine Les Bruyeres has been created in the 18th century by Marron family. Today their direct descendant, David Reynaud, is running the vineyard. The 23 hectares are located in the center of the appellation Crozes-Hermitage and Saint- Joseph, in the North of the Rhone Valley. In 2003, the vineyard became fully biodynamic. The main grape variety used there is Syrah. David makes also some white wine from his 4ha of Marsanne and Roussanne. The terroir is a mix of pebble stones, that contribute to a good drainage, on top of a clay- limestone bedrock that stores the water and provides an optimal nutrition for the vines.
