Domaine REMOISSENET Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2013

Wine Region: Burgundy - France

Grape: Pinot Noir

Tasting notes: "The 2013 Clos de Vougeot exudes energy and intensity. A spine of firm tannin provide the backbone for a gorgeous, super-expressive Clos Vouget. Hints of orange peel, spice, crushed flowers and raspberry meld together in a racy Burgundy graced with impeccable overall balance. There is a lot to like, and a lot to look forward to. The interplay of salinity and richness is hugely appealing." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

About the winery:
Founded in 1877 by Pierre-Alfred Remoissenet, in the heart of Beaune, Maison Remoissenet Pere & Fils is well known by lovers of great Burgundy wines. The generations followed each other at the head of the estate before being acquired by Edward L. Milstein, an American. He surrounded himself with an expert team of Burgundy wine to carry on the family's prestigious reputation. In the vineyard, we practice sustainable agriculture, and we follow the principles of organic farming. The wines are vinified in vasks then aged in oak barrels for 15 to 18 months.
