LOUIS GUNTRUM RIESLING AUSLESE OPPENHEIM HERRENBERG
Wine Region: Germany
Tasting notes: Fresh and juicy with flavors of peaches, apples, pears, and dried apricots. There are some slate notes on the nose with good minerality backed up with beautiful, lifted acidity giving it a great ageing potential. On the palate, this is a lovely, lush, juicy, light, bright and piquant Riesling with vitalizing acidity, very delicate tannin grip, and a stimulating, aromatic, salty finish.
About the winery: Louis Guntrum Estate was established in 1648. The cellars lay on the banks of the Rhine between Oppenheimer and Nierstein. Today, this estate of 60-hectares of vineyards is owned and managed by the 11th generation, Louis Konstantin Guntrum.
