Tasting notes: The wine is a deep, brilliant colour with purplish highlights. Lucente impresses for the cleanliness and intensity of its wild berry and jam bouquet with highlights of tobacco and light spices, which are found again on the palate, enriched by a delicate toasted note. Measured, silky tannins pro-vide a wonderful roundness and a persistent finish.
About the winery: Luce Brunello is a tribute to Montalcino, to the land where, in the second half of the 19th Century, Brunello was born. It was the first wine in Italy to achieve the Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita, back in 1980.
Of the 88 hectares of vineyards at Tenuta Luce, 11 are registered in the Albo del Brunello di Montalcino. This is where the grapes destined for Luce Brunello are born.
