Tasting notes: Upfront floral and white peach notes, with hints of pear and grapefruit on the nose. Notes of honey and melon start to become more apparent later on, in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with an almost saline feel on the tongue. The finish is long, well balanced and rounded.
About the winery:
In 1988, the Reyneke family bought the farm Uitzicht, a 90-acre farm on the ridge of the Polkadraai Hills, with spectacular views of Stellenbosch. Contemporaneously, Johan Reyneke began the conversion from conventional farming to organic practices, then biodynamic. Reyneke was the first farm in South Africa to achieve certification by Demeter International (biodynamic accreditation).
