Wine Region: Rhone-Valley - France
Grape: Syrah
Tasting notes: "Ogier's 2019 Saint Joseph le Passage marries cherries and raspberries with modest herbal notes in a fruity, direct effort. Medium to full-bodied and reasonably silky in feel, it won't make you forget this estate's terrific wines from Cote Rotie, but it's not priced like those wines either." - Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate
About the winery:
It was in 1997 that Stephane Ogier joined the family estate, rooted for seven generations on the hillsides of Ampuis. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Stephane left home to work with some of the best winemakers in Burgundy and abroad. By taking over from his father Michel, he chooses to do specific work on his different terroirs to reveal the uniqueness of these places full of history.
