Tasting notes :The bold, lively, and pure flavor transforms into a powerful, structured palate, delicately chiselled from the minerality of Champagne's chalky terroir. The generosity of the Pinot Noir's fruitness resonatse harmoniously with the freshness of the lightly candied citrus fruit aromas (lemon) which are embellished in the finish with delicate hints of toasted notes.
About the Winery : Having become an internationally recognised brand with tremendous success, Veuve Clicquot located in Reims, traces its history back to the women who made it all possible : Madame Clicquot. It was in 1798 that François Clicquot married the daughter of Baron Nicolas Ponsardin. The son of the founder of Champagne Clicquot, he passed on his passion to his wife, introducing her to the secrets of Champagne production. When her husband passed away prematurely, she took over the reins of the Champagne House at the tender age of 27. The Champagne House Veuvle Clicquot Ponsardin pioneered a new type of marketing by housing its fabulous product in bottles graced with an orange-yellow label, first applied in 1877.With this revolutionary decision, the brand made a huge stride in building its reputation, becoming one of the most recognised brands among the Champagne Houses. Since then Veuve Clicquot has joined the LVMH luxury group, which has made it one of the first Champagne brands in the world.
