Tasting notes : The powerful nose first reveals white and dried fruit aromas before offering vanilla and brioche scents. This champagne offers a frank and dynamic attack that is harmonious and superbly fruity.
About the Winery : Having become an internationally recognised brand with tremendous success, Veuve Clicquot located in Reims, traces its history back to the women who made it all possible : Madame Clicquot. It was in 1798 that Francois Clicquot married the daughter of Baron Nicolas Ponsardin. The son of the founder of Champagne Clicquot, he passed on his passion to his wife, introducing her to the secrets of Champagne production. When her husband passed away prematurely, she took over the reins of the Champagne House at the tender age of 27. The Champagne House Veuvle Clicquot Ponsardin pioneered a new type of marketing by housing its fabulous product in bottles graced with an orange-yellow label, first applied in 1877.With this revolutionary decision, the brand made a huge stride in building its reputation, becoming one of the most recognised brands among the Champagne Houses. Since then Veuve Clicquot has joined the LVMH luxury group, which has made it one of the first Champagne brands in the world.
