Spend some time exploring all that Singapore has to offer... but don't forget to bring along a bottle of wine for the festivities.
This weekend, enjoy the great outdoors by packing up your meal on the go. Find a great spot, pop open a bottle of wine for the occasion and just relax. We've picked a few of our favorite areas around Singapore for an outdoor snack and included our beverage selections to match!
This one is easy and tops the list for accessibility and centralized location. Grab a group of friends, football, and a Frisbee and spend the afternoon playing games. Or make it a date and explore the different gardens finishing with the National Orchid Garden. Afterwards, find a comfortable spot to open your picnic and a bottle of something light and refreshing. We recommend a crisp, dry wine with plenty of acidity like a pinot grigio to ward off the heat.
If you have a furry friend to bring along, that makes this beach so much more fun. Even if you don’t, just watching the pups run around and play is an entertaining way to spend the afternoon. Don’t forget your sunblock at this beautiful beach. Less crowded than the other two popular beaches on Sentosa, Siloso or Palawan, Tanjong beach offers a great spot to chill for the day. You can play volleyball, water sports or just laze around under the palms. We recommend a bottle (or two) of sangria to compliment your day of play.
The light show at the Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay may last just fifteen minutes, but waiting for the start is half the fun. This is the perfect opportunity to pack your favorite nibbles and find the best spot for the magic to begin. Be sure to arrive at least twenty minutes early to find the best vantage point and get settled. Pop a bottle of something sparkling to mirror the excitement of the music and lights. Our pick for the evening is a light, fresh prosecco.
East Coast Park offers an array of activities for couples, friends and families alike. Our most-loved park activity is booking a BBQ pit and inviting a group of friends for an afternoon of food and games. Have each person bring something different to eat for everyone to experiment and try. For the wine, we recommend a crowd-pleasing, versatile rose. The delicate flavours pair well with most surf and turf BBQ items.
These are just a few of our all-time best outdoor spots in Singapore, please share your favorite places to chill with wine with us below… Cheers, happy tasting!
