Tasting notes: The 2022 Mazis-Chambertin displays a magisterial, imperial purple robe. This wine has a thrilling intensity of fruit on the nose, but it is by no means one of the most opulent cuvées as the ripeness is far from exaggerated. Not extravagant nor explosive, but just a very fine wine with a superb sense of precision. Like the Clos de la Roche, this cuvée will also have an excellent potential for ageing, for 25 years or more if so desired. - By Jasper Morris
