Wine Region: Bordeaux - France
Grape: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
Tasting notes: The Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion presents a beautiful intense red colour and a first fruity nose while remaining ripe and fresh. With agitation, a very nice vanilla woody note comes to embellish the aromas of cherry and blackberry. The wine enters on the palate with the charm of Merlots, fleshy and fruity, then it is woven, and the tannic power expresses itself, coated and fresh. Medium in length, the finish is spicy.
About the winery:
Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion is the greatest Graves wine after Haut-Brion and is considered the superior wine of the two in some vintages. La Mission Haut-Brion is situated just across the road from Haut-Brion in the commune of Talence in the southern suburbs of Bordeaux. Since 1983, both properties have been under the same ownership, Domaine Clarence Dillon.
