Wine Region: Bordeaux - France
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot
Tasting notes: "This 2015 vintage has a magnificent deep garnet red colour. The very intense nose illustrates a beautiful maturity with notes of red fruits (raspberries, morello cherries) and black (blackcurrant, blackberry). The wood is present but without excess. Agitation reveals complex aromas of peony, liquorice, creme de cassis and cocoa. The full, dense and tight palate is already proving to be seductive. The tannins, both powerful and caressing, contribute to this wine's classic profile. The finish is long and delicately toasted."
About the winery:
Thanks to the long involvement of the different Kressmann generations on the property, rewarded in 1953 by the Classification of Graves, the wines of Chateau Latour-Martillac are today among the references of the Pessac-Leognan appellation. The establishment of a whole range of wines originates with Tristan and Loic. The second Lagrave-Martillac wines appeared first at the end of the 1980s, followed by Chateau Langlet's acquisition in the Graves appellation, in 1999.
