Domaine BACHELET-MONNOT Chassagne-Montrachet 2021

Wine Region: Burgundy - France

Grape: Chardonnay

Tasting notes:The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Village was cropped at a respectable 30hl/ha due to the late pruning in this vineyard. It has a clean and precise bouquet, quite focused, a light reduction at play in the background. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, fresh and apply with orange rind towards the taut, slightly short but fresh finish. Fine. - By Neal Martin

About the winery:
Domaine Bachelet-Monnot is a relatively new estate in the Burgundy wine scene, established in 2005 by two brothers, Marc and Alexandre. Having roots in a family of winegrowers, they started their own venture by renting vines first, then took back some vines from their father in 2011 and purchased some others, reaching the current size of the Domaine: 23ha.

The eclectic panel of appellations and terroirs brings to their wines a stylistic diversity, each cuvée displaying individual attributes and virtues, reflective and true to their terroirs.

Expert Rating: Vinous 89/100
