Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: "The 2021 Fixin 1er Cru Clos du Chapitre has turned out especially well, offering up aromas of sweet red berries, plums and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless palate that's supple and sensual, with lively acids and a giving, charming profile." - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
About the winery:
Domaine Felettig is one of the names that Burgundy connoisseurs would rather keep to themselves. Gilbert and his sister Christine form the second generation of winegrowers on the estate, after having succeeded from their father and founder of the Domaine, Henri Felettig. Pauline, Gilbert's daughter, has recently joined them. With a history of only 40 years, the Domaine has seen many changes from its very beginning and has expanded rapidly to reach a size of 12.5 hectares, whose 60% rented. Production is small, quality is high, as is the demand, which is why the family's wines are rarely seen outside France.
