Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: "The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru comes from a parcel of 80-year-old vines, containing 25% whole bunch fruit and matured in 75% new oak. The bouquet is completely different from Les Hauts Doix, displaying more density, darker fruit, more substance and a less airy style, but still very pure and detailed. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. There is plenty of lightly spiced black fruit, gentle grip, an appealing sense of symmetry and a longer tail on the finish than the Les Haut Doix. Superb." - Neal Martin, Vinous
