About the Winery:
Coming from a long line of Champagne growers, it always seems to be an obvious choice for Benoit Marguet to follow this path, but the road to his ultimate goal hasn’t always been straight. After his time spent as an assistant winemaker alongside Paul Hobbs, Benoit got moved deeply by virtue of organic farming. When he returned to the family estate, he convinced his dad to implement soil ploughing instead of herbicides. Later he invested in two horses, Titan and Urban, to take care of the mechanical ploughing. Little by little, Benoit managed to transition the 8ha of the vineyard to organic and then later to biodynamic farming in 2009. Consequently, he got awarded in 2011 with the Demeter certification for biodynamic farming.
