Tasting Notes: "The 2019 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from four separate parcels and is matured in 80% new oak. This Pinot Noir has a perfumed bouquet, with crushed rose petal and violets. It is rather plush and very well delineated, quite Mazoyères in style. The palate is well balanced with lush tannins. This is a luxuriant Charmes-Chambertin, smooth, sensual and very pure. A touch of spiciness towards the finish lingers in the mouth. This is a classy Charmes-Chambertin." - Neal Martin, Vinous
About the Winery:
The Domaine Henri Rebourseau is an iconic Burgundy vineyard founded in 1782. Now directed by the sixth generation, Bénigne and Louis de Surrel, they cultivate 13.6 hectares of exceptional vines planted on lands cultivated for over 1,400 years, including the highly reputed Clos de Vougeot. The vineyard is distinguished by its wines aged for 10 to 15 years, including 5 cuvées classified as Grand Cru and 2 cuvées classified as Premier Cru.
