Region: Loire Valley - France
Grapes: Pinot Noir
Tastings Notes: Dark red with purple lights. It expresses nice empyreumatic scents (toasted bread, cocoa, coffee) and delicate aromas of tapenade, blueberries, black cherries and pastry. A pleasant animal note also delights the nose. The texture is ample, with silky tannins giving a velvety feeling in the mouth. The palate offers aromas and texture of the blueberry tart but also crème brulée and whisky notes. Long retro-olfaction with crunchy red fruits overtones.
About the Winery:
Since 2010 Vincent Delaporte's grandson, Matthieu Delaporte, has been fully focused on further improving the Domaine's wines. A more organic approach has been adopted in the vineyards with herbicides no longer being used. Yields have been lowered, and oak is being judiciously introduced to the vinification.
