Tasting notes: "The full-bodied, muscular 2018 Cote Rotie La Vialliere is much the same as I remember it based on my previous tasting. Robust black cherry fruit makes a big impression, but even more noteworthy is this wine's power and structure. Rich, velvety and tannic, this is the backbone to Ogier's blend." - Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate
About the winery: It was in 1997 that Stephane Ogier joined the family estate, rooted for seven generations on the hillsides of Ampuis. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Stephane left home to work with some of the best winemakers in Burgundy and abroad. By taking over from his father, Michel, he chooses to do specific work on his different terroirs in order to reveal the uniqueness of these places full of history.
