Wine Region: Burgundy - France

Grape: Chardonnay

Tasting notes: The nose is very expressive, floral (white flowers), with mineral (flint, flint) and lemon notes. On the palate, it presents a nice freshness and a well-integrated oak that smells of fresh hazelnut. Notes of pastry bring a touch of generosity.

About the winery:
Originally from the west of France, Edouard Delaunay moved to Burgundy in 1893 after having inherited from a generous wine supplier. As a sign of its reputation at that time, renowned estates trusted him to distribute their prestigious wines, such as Domaine de la Romanee Conti. Unfortunately, in the early 1990s, the Maison had to be sold and slowly fell into oblivion.
Bought back in 2017 by Laurent Delaunay, the great-grandson of the founder, the Maison Edouard Delaunay strives to regain its place within the inner circle of the great houses of Burgundy through the meticulous and precise vinification and ageing of exceptional wines from some of Burgundy’s finest terroirs.
