Tasting notes: Fruity aromas of black and red fruits with a touch of spice. This dry red wine has medium tannin with lively acidity. Only red varieties are planted in the vineyard. The main one are Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Mourvedre. They share the land with Caladoc, a local grape, typical from the region.
About the Winery: Domaine de la Bouissiere has been created in 1958 by Antoine Faravel. Today, the new generation took over the vineyard. Gilles is the eldest, working in the vines, Thierry is the cellar master and Claudine is the youngest in the administration. The 17 hectars are spread over in the three crus of this area in the Southern Rhone valley: Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Beaumes-de-Venise. The vines are planted between 300 and 500 meters above sea level and surrounded by the Dentelles de Montmirail, those mountains are pictured on the bottles.
