Wine Region: Rhone-Valley - France
Grape: Syrah
Tasting notes: The nose is very expressive on fruits, pine, jasmine and hints of spices. The palate is concentrated, with deep and complex tannins, but of great finesse and silky. The wine has an important ageing potential.
About the winery:
The Domaine Les Bruyeres has been created in the 18th century by Marron family and is now running by their direct descendant, David Reynaud. The estate of 23 hectares is located in the centre of the appellation Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, in the North of the Rhone Valley. Since 2003, the vineyard is fully biodynamic.
The terroir is a mix of pebble stones, that contribute to good drainage, on top of a clay-limestone bedrock that stores the water and provides optimal nutrition for the vines.
