Tastings Notes: The 2017 Pinot Gris has a deliciously perfumed aroma of pear, vanilla panna cotta, orange blossom, and apricot. The palate is broad with tropical notes, white peach and pear. This is made more complex by the flavours of toffee, cinnamon and vanilla spice. It is bone dry with a palate weight that provides stunning balance to a beautifully complex wine.

About the Winery: More than 350 years on, “Staete Landt” is the name for an emerging wine company, founded by winemaker Ruud Maasdam and his family. The link between their new home and New Zealand’s discovery by one of their predecessors, was obvious: the perfect combination of their heritage and their future.
