Wine Region: Rhone-Valley - France
Grape: Syrah, Viognier
Tasting notes: "More red-fruited in style, the 2018 Cote Rotie But de Mont offers up hints of cherries and red raspberries on the nose. It's full-bodied, lush and velvety in feel, with a gentle kiss of vanilla on the lingering finish." - Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate
About the winery:
It was in 1997 that Stephane Ogier joined the family estate, rooted for seven generations on the hillsides of Ampuis. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Stephane left home to work with some of the best winemakers in Burgundy and abroad. By taking over from his father, Michel, he chooses to do specific work on his different terroirs in order to reveal the uniqueness of these places full of history.
